I recently attended a party with the theme. Watch us wreck a floor, www.watchuswreckafloor.com This was put on by the great people at Build Direct, www.builddirect.com Marc McPherson,Rob Jones and many others. The floor and "Build Direct" are located in downtown Vancouver.
The floor in question is 12mm Toklo laminate flooring, and let me tell you. it stood up to a beating!!! They brought chickens in to run around on it. They installed it outside on a deck, so the rain, and SNOW could sit on it..(never good for the seams of a floor) and it held up. We walked on it, in high heels (always bad news for a floor) Ice skates..yes you read right, Ice skates, golf cleats and finally used a Pick axe to destroy the floor. Which it did..But hey, when are you ever going to take a pick axe to a floor? haha. You can watch all of this at www.watchuswreckafloor.com It's great for a laugh.
I own a rental property at 1425 W. Georgia at "The George". The carpet is original, and I am planning to put this great laminated floor down in my suite. I think it is renter proof.
